Story -
Dylan arrived at the race to find Cody and Giovanni had already arrived. It was a big day for both the young horses, the first big race of their careers and he hoped everything would go well. Dylan pulled down the ramp and began to lead out the filly as soon as her eyes had adjusted to the light she started to pull back up the ramp attempting to reverse "come on girl" he said clicking trying to get her out of the trailer "looks like she is afraid to come out" Cody joked. The filly finally stepped off the ramp timidly, there was a lot to take in trailers everywhere with lots of strange people and horses going to and fro. A car drove past taking the filly by surprise causing her to rear up slightly the whites of her eyes showing and her nostrils flared. "Shh eeeaassyy girl" Dylan said in a reassuring tone she snorted at him as they walked to the stalls. "Hope she doesn't cause you any bother at the gate " Cody said concerned, he knew only too well what she was capable of when she was nervous, Jason another jockey at blacktyde-stables had broken his shoulder after being thrown off and becoming wedged between Eva and the sides of the gate after something spooked her when practicing back at home, she had come a long way since then but the new surroundings may just spark her off.

As they led her to the stall area all eyes were on her and her unusual colouring she was led into the stall next to Giovanni, maybe a familiar face would calm her nerves " some unusual coloured two year olds you have there" a man said approaching Dylan "haha yeah they are quite something they certainly get people's attention" he replies "you can say that again, good luck out there" .....

It was time for Evangeline to enter the gates, Giovanni had already been moved into the gate beside hers, she threw up her head, nostrils flared and neighing reluctant to go forward, she caught sight of gio and reluctantly she dragged her hooves into the gate, the doors closed behind her and she began to panic throwing her head up and down whilst trying to push out the back "woahh girl, it's okay" Dylan said trying to get her to settle , Cody said words of encouragement from the next gate the last thing anyone wanted was to see either of them get injured soon enough the bell rang, the gates clattered open end Eva was out of there like a bat out of hell, she thundered down the track past some of the other youngsters Dylan trying to curb her speed worrying that she would burn herself out too quickly, she was filled with determination.
